Christian Approaches to Hardship — Introduction: How Can We Face Hard Times as Christians?
Introduction
Brothers and sisters, all people face hardship.
Even faithful Christians go through hard times. A pastor may become tired. A family may face sickness. A farmer may lose a harvest. A church planter may serve with little support. A mother may grieve. A believer may feel alone, afraid, or discouraged.
So we ask, how can we face hard times as Christians?
The Bible does not tell us to pretend that pain is not real. Pain is real. Tears are real. Questions are real. But God is also real. His grace is real. His care is real. His help is near.
In this series, we will learn five simple truths.
First, we will learn to trust God in hard times.
Second, we will ask God to search our hearts.
Third, we will give our burdens to God.
Fourth, we will learn not to carry our burdens alone.
Fifth, we will keep trusting God when life is hard.
These lessons will help us trust God, obey Him, and care for others. Hard times are painful, but God can use them to help us grow.
